Pioneer Day Weekend

We were invited to come stay with my sister's in their in-laws home in Heber, AZ for the weekend. I ventured there with all three girls and without Ryan. My mom drove with me and the girls. Devyn (Bettina's 2 yr old daughter) came in our car too. We had so much fun! We followed Becky and her two boys with Bettina up to Heber. The weather was wonderful. We rode quads, went to Snowflake and participated in the kids running races and the big parade. I ended up running into some friends from high school and we had a mini reunion there during the parade so I didn't get to see much of the parade. It was fun to see extended family afterward at Uncle Jeff's traditional gathering. The chili beans, Aunt Kathy's fresh bread and Uncle Jeff's famous homemade ice creams really hit the spot. We returned back to Heber to enjoy the cooler weather. That afternoon it stormed a lot and the kids enjoyed eating the hail. The kids have been wanting to hike down the hill as we were on top of it so Sunday Grandpa asked Emma "are you guys comming to church with me today?" Emma replied "no we're going hiking down da hell." We all got the biggest kick out of that! We stayed until Monday at noon and headed back to Mesa. It was so fun to relax and enjoy a much cooler part of AZ during the summer!
